Martz (Marty) Howard graduated with honors from Miami University with a Masters of Accountancy with a concentration in taxation.  He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Miami University.  He was a recipient of the Charles Schmidt Award for having the highest score in the entire state of Ohio on the November 1996 CPA exam.  He is a Certified Public Accountant with over 13 years experience in public accounting, 10 of which were with a regional accounting firm that was the 50^th largest firm in the United States.

He is currently a Senior Tax Manager at Cassady Schiller & Associates, Inc., specializing in providing tax and business advisory services to family held businesses and their owners.  In addition, Marty has significant experience in meeting the needs of high net worth individuals, including income tax, trust and estate planning expertise.  Marty’s depth of knowledge in the industry is broad, including extensive work in the following industries: real estate, manufacturing, distribution, retail, technology, professional services and healthcare. 

He has served as a Treasurer for both the Greater Cincinnati Oral Health Council and the Jags Den, an athletic booster organization.  He has served on the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Small Business Development Committee, and continues to be involved with numerous community and civic organizations. Marty is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Ohio Society of CPAs, and the Kentucky Society of CPAs.

Marty resides in Independence, Kentucky with his wife Monica and their five children.  Outside of the office, he enjoys coaching his kids’ sports teams, attending Reds games, and traveling with his family.
